Just Be You – Traveler’s Notebook Layout Process

I’ve been collating quotes I see on online, and putting together into a traveler’s notebook the ones that really resonate with me. This one I came across on Facebook was perfect, and I knew would make a great layout in my book.

I also came across a challenge on the Confessions of a Paper Addict facebook group and thought this would be the perfect.

I used 4 different collections to put this together:

Maggie Holmes 6×8 paper pad ‘flourish’
Heidi Swapp Alphas
Pink Fresh Puffy Stars
Cocoa Vanilla Acetate Die Cuts

I find it really hard to get decent 6×8 pads, but this is really the perfect size for traveler notebook spreads. Feels wasteful to use a 12×12 sheet, even with great intentions its not always easy to reuse left over scraps.

I absolutely love these acetate flowers, and will try to make them stretch, but I know I’ll be going back for more! I got all of these [apart from the paper pad] from Kitaholickits, check them out, they have some of great designs and collections in stock. I’m really tempted to sign up for one of their monthly kits but really enjoy the freedom [and challenge] of buying random products and putting them together.

For this page, I combined alphas for a title, along with a quote from KaiserCraft, which I overlaid over another circle die to give it a border to stand out from the teal background. The pop of pink in the paper, and stars help to bring in the pink background from the right hand side sheet.

I love this quote – it covers all the things I wish I could inspire in my daughter. It’s something we all need to remember and to live to, we just need to be our true authentic selves to achieve this!
