For the June Scrapping Fun Kit I decided to make some baby cards. Who can resist making a baby card or two?
To achieve a patterned effect I used one of my scallop dies to cut out one of the paper sheets to add to my blue card stock.
The left over yellow ribbon fit neatly behind this as I’d mounted it on some foam to give it some dimension.
Cute little die cuts were an easy addition to the front, as well as the flower, which I used in the top right hand corner.
To finish off I used the blue twine which twisted around the bottom a few time.
The tissue paper was added on top of the patterned sheet to add some texture, and I used the yellow ribbon to frame it. The orange twine was added to accent the ribbon, so it wasn’t too yellow. I cut out the giraffe from another paper sheet to use as a die cut and finished off with a stamped sentiment. I originally tried to do this in Gold, but it didn’t show up very well. The black stands out a little too much for my liking but overall I’m pleased with this one.
This has got to be my favourite – so cute!
It was so easy to assemble, using the die cut, ribbon and gorgeous little feet from the kit. The flower ribbon made a nice finishing touch at the top left, but it’s the little elephants that I think really make this card.
Which is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.
